About Noboru Nakamura

Noboru Nakamura was born in 1938. After wining top awards in some design competitions, he went to Sweden to study design, started working for IKEA as design staff from 1972 to 1978, and provided the designs of Lavender chair and Tack easy chair to CondeHouse. Both of them are still available, and the former one has been sold for more than 40 years. One of his master pieces, IKEA Poang chair was selected as one of 100 Great Designs of Modern Times in 2019.
