The Split Mirror was designed with the Japanese concept of Ma in mind, which expresses the importance of a pause, gap or a negative space — as being equally significant to a whole. The mirror frame is made up of two wooden halves that are separated by a break that allows the eye to contemplate the space in between. The Split Mirror is available in two sizes and can be installed vertically or horizontally.

About Zoe Mowat
Zoe Mowat established her eponymous studio in 2010 with a focus on thoughtful and material driven furniture and product design. Zoë’s approach is a sculptural and intuitive exploration of color, material, and form, that is counterbalanced by a desire to create functional objects that respond to our lived experience. Her work has been exhibited internationally and she has collaborated with brands and clients in North America, Europe, and Asia. Zoë currently teaches design at Parsons School of Design in New York.
