Ariake
Founded by the Legnatec and Hirata Chair workshops in the furniture-making town of Morodomi, Saga, Ariake takes its name from the nearby Ariake Sea - and from the Japanese word for daybreak. The brand pairs Japanese craftsmanship with leading international designers including Gabriel Tan, Keiji Ashizawa, Norm Architects and Anderssen & Voll.
The result is a collection that balances handwork with precise machining, made from oak, ash, hinoki and cedar with signature finishes like sumi and indigo - from dining chairs and benches to desks, shelving and cabinetry. Explore the Ariake collection at APATO, Australia's home of authentic Japanese designer furniture, and enquire for finishes, lead times and trade pricing.
