The core concept of this collection is “not furniture but a comfort space that each user can arrange.” I designed this sofa as a place where people are relaxed in their own ways rather than just simply seated on. The concept is shown in the lineup of the collection. A center table is not included because it has no other choice but to be placed in front of the sofa. Instead, I added side tables, sofa side boxes, and low shelves as places to put things around the sofa. Accordingly, users can enjoy making their personal arrangement.

CondeHouse
CondeHouse has been crafting fine timber furniture in Asahikawa, Hokkaido since 1968, drawing on the forests of northern Japan to make pieces designed to last for generations. Reliability, durability and sustainability sit at the heart of the brand - traditional techniques meet modern technology, FSC- and PEFC-certified timber and non-toxic finishes, with tree-planting programs giving back to Hokkaido.
From dining chairs and extension tables to lounge seating and sideboards, CondeHouse brings a calm, considered Japanese sensibility to residential, hospitality and workplace interiors. Explore the collection at APATO, the authorised Australian home of Japanese designer furniture, and enquire for finishes, lead times and trade pricing.
