A wide chair that respects raw material dimensions. Made from Noto Hiba, its geometry is informed by the need for it to be compact and reassuring. It is wider than it is deep, with a solid design that keeps its centre of gravity closer to the front than the back, ensuring stability. An elegant single radius steel tube provides back support with open arms. It has been created with smaller spaces in mind, ideal for nestling under a counter.

About Sam Hecht & Kim Colin
Sam Hecht and Kim Colin are the co-founders of the London-based design studio Industrial Facility (established in 2002). Hecht, a British industrial designer, brings a contemplative, detail-oriented sensibility, while Colin, an American architect, contributes a strong sense of context, scale, and spatial intelligence. Their work is defined by a thoughtful balance of form, utility, and simplicity — they aim not simply to create new designs, but to make things better in a way that lasts.
