CARVED Chair

Staffan Holm design studio is based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The studio is working with interior architecture, industrial design and furniture design. Fascinated by inventions and craftsmanship at a young age, Staffan Holm later trained as a fine cabinet maker and gained his journeymans letter. He then continued to work as a carpenter for nearly four years and founded the Staffan Holm design studio 2008 after graduating School of Design and Crafts (HDK) in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Ariake

Founded by the Legnatec and Hirata Chair workshops in the furniture-making town of Morodomi, Saga, Ariake takes its name from the nearby Ariake Sea - and from the Japanese word for daybreak. The brand pairs Japanese craftsmanship with leading international designers including Gabriel Tan, Keiji Ashizawa, Norm Architects and Anderssen & Voll.

The result is a collection that balances handwork with precise machining, made from oak, ash, hinoki and cedar with signature finishes like sumi and indigo - from dining chairs and benches to desks, shelving and cabinetry.
