The Menu Armchair and Side Chair are a pair of light and comfortable chairs. Both chairs are small, and both versions are so light that one can lift them with two fingers.
A high-level woodwork technique is required to produce this kind of chair, where thin and slender parts are used. The backrest of the Menu side chair and armchair are curved, with much attention paid to the smallest detail. The spacious seat offers exceptional seating comfort.

About Akutsu Hiroshi
Born in Tokyo, Akutsu pursued his passion for design after completing his studies at the Department of Engineering, Musashino Art University. Under the mentorship of Shiro Nakajima, he honed his skills and craftsmanship at Aobayashi Works. In 1979, he founded the BY STEP DESIGN Institute, marking the beginning of his journey in the design world. Building on his experiences and insights, he ventured out on his own, establishing PLUS ONE PRODUCT DESIGN in 1982. Renowned for his ability to anticipate and fulfill the evolving needs of the world, Akutsu is celebrated for his numerous successful designs.
