This sofa represents a new concept that suggests "embracing wrinkles" along with its beautiful styling that combines edges and curves. Designed by Toshiyuki Yoshino, it is intended not just for sitting but as a place to relax for extended periods. The notable "L-shaped" type serves as the focal point, allowing modular parts to be combined based on space and purpose.
More than just a place to sit, it's a series that allows you to create your own "space" by combining various units such as boxes around a sofa with a welcoming presence. Designer Yoshino meticulously considers everything from the internal structure to the upholstery to give the sofa an unprecedented level of "comfort." He also proposes various items for spending extended periods, such as shelves and tables for placing lighting, music, books, etc., at the right distance, designing a total relaxation experience centered around the sofa.
From the base to the intermediate layer to the surface, the voluminous seat cushion is born from careful consideration of materials and structure. The beautiful wrinkles on the surface, indicative of its softness, are a testament to the abundant use of feathers. Composed of six layers of urethane and feathers, this cushion design brings to life Yoshino's story of "welcoming without resistance, gently sinking in, and providing firm support."
To create a sense of "reliance," the seat provides ample space. There is enough space to sit comfortably with your legs up, and placing a back cushion makes relaxation even more comfortable.
