The Runt (円)’ appears compact with its circular seat, yet it naturally accommodates various sitting postures such as sideways sitting, crossing legs, or even slouching. Its semi-arm design allows for easy standing and sitting, while facilitating pulling or pushing movements with the chair. The curved backrest, a key design feature, provides a comforting sensation as it envelops the body. The slightly elevated semi-arm provides just the right support for resting the elbows, making it suitable for both relaxed lounging and performing tasks such as dining or working without causing fatigue over extended periods. The meticulously crafted curves, a hallmark of Stiure's design, imbue the chair with a sense of gentleness. The rounded legs, curving outward, not only contribute to the chair's overall softness but also provide stability. The wooden ring on the seat enhances the upholstery design while allowing for color coordination with various combinations of wood and upholstery.

“It’s difficult to talk about a design philosophy because it’s like talking about how to think and work. I believe the process of my thought as a designer starts from open thinking, and it boils down to useful ideas. I sometimes start the process from sketching something, while I come up with good ideas to be a work plan with which I try to find suitable design languages to express a particular form.
