Inspired by the classic Scandinavian cabinetmaker chairs, the construction is light and transparent, clearly showing of all elements of the chair. The cigar shaped profiles tells the story of where the chairs need to be strong and robust, therefore creating a natural flow throughout the chair. With a rather small footprint, wide armrests and high backrest, this chair is meant for both relaxing and engaged conversations. The name “Summit” refers to this meeting and discussion between people, where we imagine our chairs would play host to.

About Norm Architects
Norm Architects was founded in 2008. The multidisciplinary design studio works within the fields of industrial design, residential architecture, commercial interiors, photography and art direction. Much like human well-being, the essence of Norm Architects’ work is found in balance — between richness and restraint, order and complexity.
