The Lantern side table and coffee table are considered balance of abstraction and functionality. The form initially evolved from an obsessive series of abstract geometric drawings to become a space-conscious side table. Strong, graphic lines are tinted in a range of finishes and allow for book and newspaper storage within their voids. The bold, angled corners are an artful yet thoughtful detail.

About Zoe Mowat
Zoe Mowat established her eponymous studio in 2010 with a focus on thoughtful and material driven furniture and product design. Zoë’s approach is a sculptural and intuitive exploration of color, material, and form, that is counterbalanced by a desire to create functional objects that respond to our lived experience. Her work has been exhibited internationally and she has collaborated with brands and clients in North America, Europe, and Asia. Zoë currently teaches design at Parsons School of Design in New York.
