The DC10 chair, born from the visionary minds of the Japanese-Danish design duo Inoda+Sveje and the Miyazaki Chair factory, embodies a seamless blend of timeless craftsmanship and cutting-edge innovation.
The journey of the DC10 chair is one of collaboration and innovation. Together with Miyazaki Chair, Inoda+Sveje embarked on a two-year quest to redefine the possibilities of wooden furniture production. Leveraging the latest CNC technology and traditional craftsmanship, they achieved a delicate balance between form and function.
Crafted as a continuous curve, the chair's defining feature is the sharp line that delineates its inner and outer surfaces, creating a captivating visual contrast. It stands not merely as a piece of furniture but as a sculpture. Its organic forms and sharp lines invite tactile exploration, inviting users to visually and physically experience its beauty. As the designers reflect on the creation of the DC10, they see not just a chair but a symbol of collaboration and creativity.
